Get verified with Goodstack

Goodstack verification requires recognized nonprofit (501(c)(3)) status (EIN + determination letter).

Goodstack (formerly Percent) is the other major nonprofit-status validator alongside TechSoup. It checks your organization’s legal and charitable status, and partner vendors trust that check to grant you nonprofit access.

It’s the validator FFC recommends behind Canva and Google for Nonprofits — and many others, including Asana, Atlassian, Eventbrite, monday.com, OpenAI (ChatGPT), and Zoom.

A second validator for a different set of vendors

Vendors don’t all use the same verifier. TechSoup covers QuickBooks, Microsoft, and Adobe; Goodstack covers Canva, Google, and a long list of SaaS tools. Registering with both means whichever validator a vendor uses, your charity is already verified.

  1. 1

    Start verification with Goodstack

When you apply to a partner program — e.g. Canva for Nonprofits or Google for Nonprofits — you’ll be routed to Goodstack to verify. You can also begin directly at goodstack.io.

You sign in as a real person representing the charity, the same person-not-entity pattern as everywhere else.

  2. 2

    Provide your charity’s details

Supply the charity’s legal name, EIN, and supporting documents (your IRS determination letter from the shared drive). Goodstack runs due-diligence checks to confirm you’re a legally registered, active nonprofit.

  3. 3

Use it to unlock partner tools

Once verified, claim the offers: Canva Pro free for nonprofits (see the Canva organization guide) and Google for Nonprofits / Google Workspace (see that guide), plus any other Goodstack partners your charity uses.

Between TechSoup and Goodstack you’ll cover almost every nonprofit software offer FFC recommends.

Common questions

How is Goodstack different from TechSoup?

They’re both nonprofit-status validators, but different vendors trust different ones. Goodstack verifies for Canva, Google for Nonprofits, Asana, Atlassian, Eventbrite, monday.com, OpenAI, Zoom and more; TechSoup verifies for QuickBooks, Microsoft, and Adobe. FFC charities register with both.

Is this the same as Percent?

Yes — Percent rebranded to Goodstack. If you see “Percent” referenced by an older vendor page, it’s the same verification service.

Do I have to go to Goodstack first?

Usually you don’t — when you apply to a partner like Canva or Google for Nonprofits, they route you into Goodstack’s verification automatically. You can also start directly at goodstack.io.
