Data & Analytics Training

Measure impact with analytics and dashboards

The data path: set up GA4/Tag Manager (consent-gated), build impact dashboards, and turn data into clear reporting for charity boards. Deeply connected to the initial website build, so you partner closely with web developers.

Administrator level — backed by Google Analytics (GA4)
Administrator level. Full administrator depth, owned org-wide, backed by certification.Analytics is configured during every initial site build, so you'll partner closely with web developers — work through what you own below.

What you're responsible for

Analytics & SEO

Administrator

Knowing who visits and being findable in search.

Your goal: Own analytics and search presence end to end for the charities you support.

  • Stand up GA4 and Google Tag Manager properly: property/stream setup, consent-mode wiring, and event/conversion definitions that respect the cookie banner. (Google Analytics certification)
  • Verify a clean data layer (Tag Assistant / DebugView), exclude internal traffic, and document the measurement plan for each site.
  • Own technical and on-page SEO: Search Console verification, sitemap submission, structured data, and Core Web Vitals follow-up. (Google Search Console)

Impact Dashboards & Reporting

Administrator

Turning raw analytics into impact a charity board can read.

Your goal: Own the reporting pipeline and turn it into recurring insight.

  • Model the measurement plan across sites, standardize naming, and (where useful) export GA4 to BigQuery for deeper analysis. (GA4 BigQuery export)
  • Deliver a recurring impact report and partner with web developers so tracking is built in during the initial site build.

Accounts & Access

Practitioner

The logins that prove the website and email are yours.

Your goal: Manage your own credentials and collaborate on shared repositories.

  • Set up a professional GitHub profile and a profile README managed "as code". (Introduction to GitHub)
  • Understand repository roles (read / triage / write / maintain) and request the least access you need.

Building with AI

Practitioner

The one skill that powers everything above.

Your goal: Run the full Issue → PR → merge loop with an AI agent.

Governance & Privacy

Operator

Staying compliant, accessible, and trustworthy.

Your goal: Keep required policies current and publish responsibly.

  • Your site has a privacy policy and cookie notice. Keep them accurate when what you collect changes — ask your assistant to update them.
  • Accessibility matters: ask your assistant to add descriptive alt text to images and keep color contrast readable.
  • Remember your site is public. Only post board minutes or documents your board approved for public release. (Board minutes caveat)
